Still Alive

We're still around, just very, very busy. Been spending every free minute, playing, hiking, training and helping out my mom, who just moved to Pittsburgh.

Indy's 7 months now, and so much fun!! she's getting big too, almost as tall as Kittie. Rudy's nice and healthy, along with the rest of the pack.

Here's some recent pics from a hike:

Typical Indy, running full speed towards me, she can just change direction, mid stride! Boing!!!

Do you see the tennis ball?

Both my mom and dad grew up in the Pittsburgh area. While growing up, they always would take the family back to visit. I never realized how beautiful it is there. Your hiking pictures show beautiful scenery. Your pack looks like they are having a blast. On June 13th and 14th, my mom and I will be visiting family in Monroeville. Can you recommend a place to take the pugs to let them hike? Glad everyone is doing well.

Boyce Park is located in Monroeville/Plum, this where we go the most often. It's huge!! and we never seem to have any bad experiences there. You can access nice trails from several parts of the park, near the ski slopes, the log cabin, the soccer field or the nature center, you can't go wrong!

let me know if you need any further directions or info

We'll be an agility trial close by, in Cheswick this weekend. Stop by if you're not too busy!

Where's Cheswick? Is there a website?

Here's directions, it's close to Fox Chapel, if that helps at all.

One thing I wanted to note about Boyce Park is there isn't much water in the park, we try to find places where the dogs can jump in and out of the water when it's warm out. I don't think it's supposed to be too hot this weekend though, otherwise Frick Park has several streams.

What time is your run? What classes did you enter? What is your number? Did you enter on Sunday? Saturday is our family get together so I wouldn't be able to check it out on Saturday. But I possibly could get over there on Sunday. The website directions were very hellpful. Looks like great facilities to compete in.

I'll be sure to take water with me when we're at Boyce Park.

Agility just isn't tightly scheduled. Unless you're one of the first dogs in it's near impossible to predict when you'll be running.

Here's what I can tell you. The running order all weekend is big to little, so my dogs will be running later in the day, most likely somewhere between 11:00 and 3:00
Abby's running 12" Ex Standard and Jumpers
Kittie's running 8" EX standard and jumpers
