I want to live where my neighbors are a bit further away. I want some land so the dogs can have more room for agility and to just run around and be dogs, without worrying about what psycho dog we're going to meet around the next corner, I want to have a garden again.
Both of our jobs are centered around the city, we don't want to spend time commuting. I'm used to being able to go home and get my dogs in the mid afternoon, that wouldn't be able to happen, and then I still wouldn't be happy.....so it's a tough no win situation.
Until I can figure it out, I'll just dream about our farm.

Now you got me dreaming about the farm. I went to the website you posted. Wow. So this is how the rich live.
I was content living in my townhouse and my mom's ranch house. The pugs have a huge fenced in yard the size of 4 obedience rings. The park is 1/2 a mile away.
Growing up, I always wanted to live on a farm. I love all kinds of animals. I miss having a horse. A farm is heaven on earth. No neighbors close by. Peace and quiet. Freedom.
Now I'm no longer talking about playing the lottery. But I'm starting to play this week. The next drawing is on Wednesday.
Wish me luck.
Our yard is huge, but city standards. I grew up with about 10 acres, and it just doesn't feel normal to have this many people living so close.
That's the *dream* farm, I could make due with far less. We don't need that much house, or that much land. Abby says she really wants her own lake to swim in though.
Really, it's not that expensive, in a lot of areas that price will just get you a basic starter home....and you get free natural gas and water, it's a bargain!!
Boy, Abby can REALLY SWIM. I saw that video you posted. She would relish her own pond or lake to swim in.
